Just trying to provoke some responses, lol. I have alot of collections going on but my biggest by far are autographs and Volkswagen bug memorabilia. Some weeks I have too much free time, lol.

Nice. I'm with you on the Louis stuff. I did get a set list from Brian and a drumstick from Mark at the Nashville show. The radio station guys gave us one of the double sided posters promoting the show. I'm mostly looking now for older posters, cd's, vinyl and such not found on their website. The chase is the fun part, it's keeps me sane.

I have to watch it cause I spend way too much, but:
1) Buckcherry CD's (singles, promos, rarities) 2) Guns N' Roses CD's (same as above)
I'd love to go ape with Louis stuff, but you can only take it so far... (I guess I shouldn't say that on a Louis site!)
We've also grabbed quite a few Killers singles over the past year.

I hear ya on the money but honestly my biggest concern right now is space. I could list 100 more minor collections that I have dabbled in but I can't pull the trigger bacause if I do we will need a bigger house. We have about 1,300 Volkswagen Bugs in our "second" collection including a 1974 VW bug that is driven daily. They take up alot of room, lol.
If I start anymore collections I will have to stop and sell another. After Louis XIV that's it for now. Like you I want the harder to find stuff.

Um... 1300 VW's??? Are you Jay Leno or something? You mean die cast cars, right?
We drive a VW Golf... Tornado Red '03.

Yeah, not fullsize, only one fullsize. We have anything from pedal cars to hotwheels. It's way too hard to display everything. Life is just one big collecting frenzy.
The Golfs are nice, got to be easier on gas than my 2000 Grand Am GT, also red. My wife was looking at getting a Jetta, not sure yet.

My wife originally wanted a Jetta, then decided on the Golf. There seems to be a lot of little issues though... Plastic is cracking, the electrical work seems to be a bit off, etc. It is good on gas though...
On the subject of Pontiacs, I really wanted a Trans Am, but...

I have had great luck with my 3 Grand Ams, I would definately buy again. Trans Ams would just lead to trouble for me, especially the V-8's. My Ram Air V-6 is too much muscle. I can't imagine any more power because I'm dumb enough to use it.

Hahaha! Yeah, that's true.
So you primarily collect car (or more specifically VW-related) models, etc? Do you collect CDs or vinyl?

Yeah, I collect vinyl for the cover art mostly but any artists that I like I usually hang on to. I have alot of CD's, cassettes and even 8 tracks. I have a classic 8 track stereo player with a revolving disco ball and colored lights so I always look for cool 8 tracks and vinyl to display around it.
I attend alot of auctions and buy alot of vinyl that way. I bought 25 boxes at one auction and pulled out about 40 Beatles albums. I love early rap vinyl because I was around to see rap take off.
On the VW's I collect only the vintage bug stuff, very few bus pieces and I try to avoid the new bugs. I also collect 71-73 Mustang toys and such.
Quickly, I also collect really cool tiger pieces, mostly japneese silk art or odd statues and such. I collect Doris Day (wife mostly), University of Virginia stuff, ball cards, Oakland Raiders stuff, Cincinnati Reds memorabilia, Nascar diecasts, 50's style furniture, just to name a few.
Lastly my main collection is autographs, I spend the majority of my free time pursuing autographs of anyone famous. I am not a sign and sell guy, I collect for me. I have sold auto's on eBay but that's only if I do not like the person and I have 5 auto's from them and such, for instance, The Dixie Chicks. I'm pretty well known in my area for my autograph collection. I can usually authenticate auto's for novices and such. I have been doing auto's since 1978.
I always believe there are ways of meeting anyone if you have the patience and the time. I tend to fall into things, my wife justs laughs and enjoys the ride, lol.

Stunger XIV: That's a shitload of stuff, bro!
royalcaprice: Do you remember Excalibur? I used to LOVE that series in my early teens. That, Batman and X-Men. That's what took my money before I discovered music and beer.

Do you remember Excalibur? I used to LOVE that series in my early teens. That, Batman and X-Men. That's what took my money before I discovered music and beer. Sure, Excalibur was my favorite X-title back in the day ! The line-up was my ideal dream team : Kitty, Rachel and Kurt were the three characters I chersihed the most at the time, and Claremont and Davis were at the top of their game, back then... So much fun, it was just perfect. (And you know what ? Marvel are about to collect the series in tradepaperback, starting this november ! Goody !)

Music and beer, good one.
I have a few comics, but I do not collect them, lol. Comics, stamps and coins are a few that I don't, lol. And my wife is thankful for that.
