Sorry for the delay guys...needed some sleep after all the excitement of Dublin, Birmingham and London y'know
I'm not gonna say anymore about Dublin...I think I already posted on that. They were f*cking cool there and it just got better each time I saw them
Jason is mesmerising and plays his guitar like a god. I couldn't take my eyes off him
Brian is lovely...so sweet. His voice is beautiful.
Jimmy....very cool indeed
Mark, amazing. Could well inspire me to get a drum kit - haha
Birmingham: Bar Academy.
Small, very intimate venue. The "stage" if you can call it that was a barriered area in the corner. It wasn't much bigger than my bathroom - lol. I reckon it was about 7 people across. We got to the front by about song 3 !!
Les Gars supported on both UK gigs I was at - they have some good songs, played well - seemed more comfortable and sounded better in London IMO. Anyway, they were very good. They've got myspace and are touring in UK at the moment I think
About 30 minutes later the boys came on. Walked through the crowd to the stage. I was at that side to begin with. My friend said my face was a picture coz I turned round and Jason was right behind me going through the side barrier – lmfao Bizarre but very cool haha
Anyway - they f*ckin rocked us !!
Pics from Birmingham: August 25th 2008
Set List
London Hoxton Bar & Grill: August 26th 2008
Had dinner there first with my friend. We watched the comings and goings as people arrived and everyone got ready. Very nice food and several bar areas - well done boys, good venue choice !!
We were row two - right in front of Jason.....stage was quite raised so was good place to see everything.
Again - they were just on fire. Same set list.
The crowd were quite "challenging" - we had to hold our position a few times. Which for me is sometimes hard - coz I'm a fairly petite and 5ft 3 (just) !! Anyway, didn't get as many good pics - sorry.
Met StaceyQ - Hi honey it was good to meet you and have a chat and a drink afterwards !!
There was one funny bit in the show where a guy just behind me shouted out "lost a bit weight then Jason"....he just kept tuning his guitar - but the grin on Jason's face was superb. Wish I had a picture of that - haha
All four guys looked fabulous btw ladies & gents......
Some pics
Sorry people - I don't do videoing....I can only just work my camera so please don't ask anymore of me just yet !!
Anyway, they were totally f*cking amazing. I never thought I 'd say this but I think Louis XIV have overtaken The Killers as my favourite band - haha
I met Jason at all three gigs. He is handsome, charming and so easy to talk to. The others were more elusive to me...but I'll work on my meet and greet technique ready for next time
Anyway, I now have "gig-throat" - which is a throat infection brought about by a week of partying at gigs, too much alcohol, shouting, singing and late nights !!
I can't wait for the boys to come back and play some more. Alternatively, I may be booking in with Indi if they play in Cali sometime soon - haha ;D
That's all,
Much Luv
