... Before Jeff Winfrey was in dishwater, Tony Roth was the bassist. The title for the song "Dose on Sunshine" was inspired from a wet cement drawing that could be seen from the third story window of the apartment Jason and Tony lived in briefly near the panhandle in San Francisco...

"The TV work is comprised of three spots, all of which feature the San Diego rock band Convoy's cover version of the Rolling Stones' classic, "Let's Spend the Night Together." Two of the spots show Convoy members cavorting in a Sheraton hotel, snoozing in the "Sweet Sleeper" and waving to fans from their balcony. A third execution finds the band rehearsing the song in a Sheraton. When the lead guitarist breaks a string, a hotel staffer quickly replaces it, emphasizing the attention placed on customer service."
(from the first convoy link) this was one of the first things i found out about convoy, i loved the string replacment. any screencaps out there?

i've been trying to find that commercial everywhere!!!! ahhhh!
i think one of my favorite parts of black licorice is in the beginning of "wet cement" when brian sneezes and then giggles. the intro builds in to this almost crescendo, and then brian just has this giant sneeze.
brilliant.
you can also kind of hear the musical transition into louis xiv in the track "eleventeen". it's a sexy good song.

littlestacyq , you are so right about "eleventeen" it has a very glam Trex sound and could have fit quit well on a Louis xiv album.

does anyone have any of the Pineapple Recording Sessions? or anything on Dishwater?
also: Jason was also apparently very briefly in Unwritten Law, according to an interview with their lead guy. after that he was in Tragic Rabbit and De Profundis. I can't confirm the last two, though.
